My current masters research project is focused on quantifying how high tunnels influence the local climate. I am working with local farmers to conduct my research including: Desert Farming Initiative, Lattin Farms, Snyder Farms, Custom Gardens and River School. I am also working with a school garden program: Veggie for Kids. See my presentation High Tunnels in the Food System for an explanation of my research and preliminary results.
As an undergraduate, I presented research on the impact microclimates have on extreme heat and the survival of desert bird populations.
